Position: Houston Lake Baptist Church is seeking a full-time Senior Pastor called by and under the authority of God, committed to faithfully preaching His Word, and with a heart for the lost. His role is to shepherd the congregation and provide Biblical leadership to help guide the church toward spiritual maturity, unity, and faithful Gospel ministry.

The pastor oversees the daily administration of church affairs and fosters a successful team environment with the Church Council, Deacons, Church Officers, and Committees, enabling them to perform their assigned roles and responsibilities.

The pastor shall perform his duties, adhering to the Church Constitution, Church Bylaws, and Policies and Procedures adopted by the Church. Full cooperation shall be shown to associational, state, and denominational leaders in matters of mutual interest and concern.

Primary Responsibilities: Conducting corporate worship (preaching and prayer), discipleship, missions/evangelism, counseling, executing the church vision, strengthening families, and fostering Christian relationships

Qualifications: Effective/decisive leader, seminary attendance desired, previous pastor (or Christian Ministry) experience strongly desired, skilled at community outreach, previous missions/evangelism experience a plus
